Fitness First acquires Fitness Exchange
Fitness First has acquired the smaller Fitness Exchange chain for £10m, according to a report in the The Sunday Times.
Speculation of a deal between the two chains has been ongoing since the start of the year, but Fitness First has declined to comment at this stage.
Fitness Exchange, which operates 10 health clubs in London and one each in Beckenham, Oxford and Norwich, was founded in 1974 by former England squash and hockey captain Mike Corby.
