Three County Sports Partnerships – funded by Sport England – are investing £3.4m in local sports coaching.

Over the next three years, a network of 53 qualified community sports coaches will work at a local level to increase the number and range of high-quality coaching opportunities available across the region.

The Community Sports Coach Scheme will comprise 23 coaches in the four districts of the Humber, 12 in the five districts of North Yorkshire and 18 in the five districts of West Yorkshire.

The scheme aims to employ more quality coaches to spot and develop sporting skills shown by gifted and talented young people.
