G Casino opens in Dundee
The Rank Group has opened a new G Casino in Dundee, Scotland.
The £5m, 30,000sq ft club is the eighth G Casino to open in the UK and is part of Rank's pipeline of having 20 G Casino-branded sites operating by the end of 2012.
Two further G Casinos (in Coventry and Sheffield) are scheduled to open before the end of the year.
Facilities at the Roberts Limbrick-designed G Casino Dundee include a modern restaurant, a stylish bar, a sports lounge and one of the largest poker rooms in Scotland, as well as a wide range of traditional casino games and gaming machines.
Phil Urban, managing director of Rank's casinos business, said: "At the heart of G Casino's success over the last three years has been a very simple ambition to give our customers a great night out and we look forward to achieving that in Dundee."
The first G Casino opened in Manchester in 2006. Since then five more G Casinos have been added in Aberdeen, Blackpool, Bolton Luton, Thanet and London's Piccadilly Circus. In September 2009, Rank launched a new flagship online casino under the brand gcasino.com.
