Getting the balance in Prague
A new gym, the Balance Club Brumlovka, recently opened in Prague as part of the £10m Brumlovka Building project.
Facilities at the 4,000sq m (43,000sq ft) club include a gym; a 25m swimming pool; a spa; two saunas and a whirlpool; a circular steam house and aromatherapy steam house; a solarium and a sun deck with Japanese sauna; a children’s area; and a pool bar and a Vitamin Bar.
With the Czech Republic emerging as a new area of investment in central Europe for large international corporations, the club is targeting professionals in top and middle management, although a children’s area also caters for the family market.
Gym equipment has been supplied by Star Trac – the 50th club the company has kitted out in the Czech Republic – including Elite and Pro machines from Star Trac’s CV range and a variety of equipment from its strength range including Human Sport, Impact, Instinct and Leverage.
With Spinning proving particularly popular and profitable in the Czech Republic, the club also has a dedicated studio featuring 31 Star Trac Spinner NXT bikes.
