Goals opens 12th site in black country

Goals Soccer Centres has opened its 12th UK site near Wolverhampton.

Goals Black Country is located off the M6 motorway and comprises 10 five-a-side arenas and three seven-a-side arenas. All the pitches are floodlit and boast the latest rubber-crumb synthetic grass technology.

Pavilion facilities include a fully licensed bar and lounge facilities.

Keith Rogers, managing director, said: “This is the first opening since our listing on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM).

“We have an excellent pipeline of new sites and we are looking forward to rolling out our successful concept further over the coming year.”

Goals aims to open six new centres during 2005, with the next one in Teesside. The company also announced it has begun construction of its seventh London centre, Goals Heathrow.

The company has added seven centres to its portfolio since its management buy-in in 2000 and reported a turnover of £6.2m for the nine-month period ending 30 September 2004. It listed on the AIM on 7 December.
