Greetham Valley Hotel, Golf and Conference Centre near Oakham, Leicestershire, has opened a new health club.

Supplied by Cybex, the 180s m club has been created in a space previously occupied by part of the hotel's golf shop.

The club has invested more than £40,000 in the creation of the gym, which offers 15 stations of Cybex CV and resistance equipment.

The gym has been specifically designed as part of efforts to boost member loyalty, increase visits and generate additional revenue at the golf club.

According to a spokesperson, the aim is to ultimately develop a fitness membership of around 200. The golf clubs currently has 1,000 members.

Dee Hinch, owner of Greetham Valley, said: "We want the gym to be affordable for anyone who wants to get fit.

Memberships for the gym are £20 per month while day tickets are priced at £5.

Facilities at the Greetham Valley include two 18-hole golf courses and nine-hole par three course.
