Millennium Hotels and Resorts has opened its first Grand Millennium hotel in Abu Dhabi with the launch of the Grand Millennium Al Wahda.
The property - the largest hotel in Abu Dhabi - comprises 585 hotel rooms and 265 residences and boasts what is said to be the largest health club in the city, with a 2,700sq m (29,000sq ft) spa offering a range of signature treatments, a rooftop swimming pool, and a gym equipped with Technogym cv and weights kit. Dining and drinking options include the Porterhouse American Bar and Grill, an Asian restaurant called Toshi, the Portobello Italian eatery, and the all-day menu Al Wahda Lounge. The Reflexions bar will offer a range of premium drinks as well as Grand Cru by the glass, while the lobby lounge is home to the Atmosphere Cafe serving coffees, teas and pastries.
The banquet and catering element of the hotel are located in the office towers across from the main entrance of the hotel and comprise exhibition space, seven meeting rooms and a banquet hall which can accommodate up to 80 persons for a gala dinner. The hotel is Millennium's third in Abu Dhabi, the other two being the 325-room Millennium Hotel Abu Dhabi and the 108-room Kingsgate Hotel Abu Dhabi. It joins other Grand Millennium-branded properties in Bangkok, Beijing, Dubai and Kuala Lumpur.
