Greatest Shave raises cash for Leukaemia Foundation
Two Dreamworld theme park guests have raised more than AUD$1,500 for the Leukaemia Foundation by having their heads shaved by hairdressers from TV's The Shak.
Drew Jarvis (Curio), Kendall Rae (Picasso) and Beau Walker (Nitro) from The Shak shaved the heads of fundraisers Jessica Ririnui and Mary-Jane Bell at the World's Greatest Shave.
Mary-Jane said: "It's not every day you have your hair shaved off by a tv personality but supporting the leukaemia foundation in this way is something I feel very passionately about. You just never know with it will affect someone close to you."
Jessica added: "This is only the third time in my life I've ever cut my hair. I've always had a secret desire to shave my head so this seemed as good an excuse as any."
Anyone who dared to have their head shaved and who had raised the cost of entry to Dreamworld (AUD$66 for adults or AUD$43 for children) got in completely free for a the whole day. Additionally four members of their cheer squad also received 50 per cent off their ticket price on the day.
