Staff from two Halo Leisure-run leisure centres in Herefordshire have been helping out in the community through the Fitness Industry Association’s Adopt a School Scheme.

Two local primary schools have been ‘adopted’ and the leisure centre staff are working with year six pupils and teachers for two hours a week.

Covering speed, strength, stamina, skill and suppleness, the children are learning about healthy lifestyles and trying out new sports and activities.

Each pupil has been given a weekly exercise chart and worksheets. Details: www.haloleisure.org.uk
