Holiday Inn secures London 2012 deal
Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express has been confirmed as the official hotel services provider for the London 2012 Olympics after securing a deal to become a Tier Three commercial partner.
Owned by InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), the chain will provide accommodation and meeting rooms for the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG), as well assistance in the planning and operation of the Athletes Village. Holiday Inn, which is currently undergoing a £600m global re-launch, has become LOCOG's ninth domestic Tier Three commercial partner. Olympic organisers have also already secured seven domestic Tier One and three domestic Tier Two partners.
London 2012 chair Sebastian Coe said: "To have Holiday Inn join our family provides us with another great pool of knowledge and skills to ensure that all of those attending the Games, whether from within the UK or from abroad, as competitors or spectators, will have an enjoyable and memorable experience."
