Hotel group launches £16m new site in Walsall
De Vere Group has announced the location of the latest addition to its Village Hotel portfolio.
The Village Hotel & Leisure Club Walsall, North Birmingham, is scheduled to open on 10 December, at a cost of around £16m.
The 125-room hotel will include two restaurants – one to be developed as a drive-through – conference rooms, banqueting and business meeting facilities, a pub and a Salingers Bar & Grill.
Leisure facilities will include a 25m heated pool, whirlpool spa, sauna, steamroom, toning tables and full fitness and aerobic studios.
Adrian Trumper, director, said: “We are delighted to further extend our Village Hotel & Leisure Club brand into the West Midlands, following our investments in Coventry.”
De Vere recently agreed a refurbishment contract for its Coventry Business Park property. The Weaver Group will construct the £1.5m extension.
De Vere currently operates fourteen Village Hotels around the UK. The fifteenth, due to open in May 2004, is being developed in Maidstone. Details: www.devereonline.co.uk
