Cardio training just moved up a level with the launch of Precor's Adaptive Motion Trainer (AMT®) with Open Stride™. The breakthrough technology, applied to the award-winning AMT, provides the ability to change a workout in mid-stride, offering exercisers even more freedom of motion, by allowing them to dynamically change their stride horizontally and also vertically.

The stride can be adjusted to five different heights, creating a more personalised workout with a greater variety of training routines for all levels of fitness. At the same time, the stride length can be increased mid-workout from 69cm to 91cm, a great benefit to runners and taller users. The two features combined provide an unrivalled range of exercise capabilities and can duplicate the workouts of treadmills, elliptical crosstrainers and climbers.

The low impact, user-defined motion means the AMT reacts to the users' movement, enabling them to go from short to long strides, walking to running, climbing to lunging, targeting different muscle groups. At the same time, pushing and pulling the moving handlebars engages the upper body, resulting in a total body workout. This helps improve weight loss by eliciting high oxygen levels and energy expenditure, for a high calorific burn with low perceived exertion level.
