Kingston University’s Tolworth Court Sports Ground in Worcester Park, Surrey, has received £1m from the Football Foundation to fund an upgrade of its sports facilities.
Plans for the ground include a new pavilion, a full-size artificial pitch, upgraded grass pitch as well as mini and junior pitches.
Local MP Edward Davey said: “The Football Foundation grant is excellent news for people in our area. It will allow the local community, as well as students, to access high quality sports facilities.”
Work is due to begin later this year and be completed by the end of 2008.
