Langham Hospitality Group has opened its 20th property, The Langham, Haikou, located in the capital of Hainan, China. This also marks the eighth hotel in China for the brand.

Designed by US architects SRSS, the hotel includes 249 bedrooms and suites over 14 floors, with views over the city or the South China Sea. Rooms feature specially commissioned art pieces and plush textiles, and are decorated in a palette of creams and gold.

The hotel also includes the brand’s signature Chuan spa, with therapies based on the principles of traditional Chinese medicine using the forces of wood, fire, earth, metal and water. The spa has five treatment rooms, a steamroom, whirlpool and foot massage treatment room.

Other wellness facilities at the hotel include a fitness centre and outdoor swimming pool.
