Leeds leisure centre revamp nears completion
Leeds City Council (LCC) has revealed that work on a six-month scheme to refurbish Rothwell Leisure Centre in Oulton is nearing completion.
A new fitness room has been created and the existing Bodyline gym has been remodelled as part of the project, along with the installation of new signage and a upgraded water filtration unit in the swimming pool. The work forms part of the council's efforts to improve leisure provision at all of its facilities across the city, which has also included the opening of two new-build centres at Armley and Morley.
LCC executive member for leisure Adam Ogilvie said: "We are committed to improving all our leisure centre facilities across the city and are determined to keep raising the standards so that we can offer the very best services and facilities we can to people of all ages in Leeds."
