Active-net goes pan-European with hybrid events

Active-net to become a monthly hybrid event
The event was first launched in 2014 as an annual gathering
With a different theme each month, the event will continue to focus on innovative operational approaches
Active-net mainly targets the public sector of the UK's physical activity industry

leisure-net has revealed plans to transform its active-net business event from an annual face-to-face gathering into a monthly hybrid event.

With a different theme each month, the event will continue to focus on helping operators find innovative operational approaches, services and products.

Mainly targeting the public sector of the UK's physical activity industry, the event was first held in 2014.

During the pandemic, Leisure-net developed a virtual version of active-net, which it deemed a success – stating that 70 per cent of suppliers said the virtual event was "as good or better" than the face to face event.

As a result, Leisure-net is now developing a wider programme of active-net events, both live and online, and is also keen to take the event to new markets.

“The hugely positive response that virtual active-net received from the sector has inspired us to create a monthly programme of events, each with a dedicated theme to meet the varying needs of the industry," said David Monkhouse, director of Leisure-net Solutions.

"We will run two to three face to face events a year and also plan to deliver a pan European event."
