Local fitness scheme for Wave Leisure
Wave Leisure has launched a new Active Lifestyle scheme as part of efforts to encourage physically inactive people to try out activities at its centres.
The leisure trust, which operates leisure centres in the south of England, has launched a new scheme which allows individuals to register their intent to lead a more active life by making a commitment and setting themselves a target to achieve.
A website has been set up to assist people to reach those targets - both in the areas of physical activity and food and nutrition.
People using the website will have to register for an Active Access card. The card is free and enables access to the website as well as some benefits with local business partners.
The card can also be used to access Wave Leisure's centres at a discounted price, with a £10 per year membership for adults (£7.50 for seniors) qualifying them for a 10 per cent discount on selected activities.
