London 2012 names Lloyds TSB as first sponsor

Lloyds TSB has won the race to become the first sponsor of the London 2012 Olympic Games,

The bank was unveiled as the exclusive banking partner and first domestic partner of the Games and gives the bank access and marketing rights for London 2012.

The company will also be able to use the new brandmark of the Games, which will be launched later this year.

Sebastian Coe, chair of the London 2012 Organising Committee, said: “We cannot stage the Games in 2012 without the support of partner companies.”

The bank will focus on two key areas – youth and bringing the Games to the wider community. Partnership programmes in both areas will be developed in the coming months.
