The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) has awarded the contract to host the second Asian Indoor Games to Macao.
The OCA hopes to encourage more youth participation in the games, which take place in 2007, by introducing sports such as aerobics, cycling, climbing and skateboarding.
Macao is also set to host the 4th East Asian Games in 2005 and has already started building modern sports facilities to accommodate a comprehensive sporting event.
