Maclay Inns open new bar in Bearsden
Maclay Inns has opened The Inn, a stylish new bar in Bearsden – just outside Glasgow city centre – in time for the festive period.
Formerly Moloco bar, The Inn combines food and drink with live DJs and Sky Sport screenings.
Styled by interior design company Dunns Interiors, the bar has cream floor tiles interspersed with mahogany floor panels, chocolate brown leather booths and mahogany tables and chairs.
Head chef Darren Baker, previously of Mondo, has created a menu comprising traditional cuisine, modern European dishes and Asian fusion.
For entertainment, DJs Ian Thompson, Kevin McFarlane and Billy Milligan play R&B and House music on Friday and Saturday nights, while a giant plasma screen and smaller screens in booths show major sport events.
Manager Stephen Adams said: “We’ve created a bar where people can relax, have a pleasant drink, eat good food and simply enjoy themselves.
“The Inn will appeal to all age groups and is perfect for a night out with friends, lunch with the girls (or boys!), dinner or even as a pre-club bar for the younger crowd before catching the train into the city centre.”
Split over two levels the bar and main dining area are on the ground floor, while the upper attic-style room, with its sloping ceilings and soft lighting, is available to hire for free. Details: +44 (0) 141 942 6752
