Mindbody, has launched a specialist insurance programme for its customers which is being delivered through its platform.

Organised in partnership with insurance platform, Authentic Insurance, Mindbody Insurance provides comprehensive coverage, support and competitive prices, allowing its customers to buy coverage for what they need, with quotes reflective of the business’s actual risk.

Policies are flexible and designed to fit a range of unique circumstances. For example, some insurers won’t provide coverage for 24/7 access, but Mindbody creates customised plans that cover around-the-clock opening.

“With Mindbody Insurance, we can collectively bargain on behalf of our tens of thousands of customers to get the best rate without the unnecessary fees associated with some traditional insurance, said Fritz Lanman, CEO of Mindbody.

“Our plans save our customers money, while providing comprehensive coverage and personalised policies unique to their operation so they can focus on running their business,” he said.

This is a further addition to Mindbody’s portfolio of offerings, which include consumer wellness subscription service, Classpass; funding via Mindbody Capital, which was launched last year, and specialised AI/ML features for customer retention and prospect targeting.

Mindbody Insurance is currently only available in the US, but the company has plans to expand to other regions.

The move is part of a trend for fitness industry businesses to upsell to both consumers and business-to-business customers as the number of consumers and operators engaged in the sector increases.
