New £4m leisure complex opens at East Yorkshire holiday village
A new leisure complex has been opened at Sand Le Mere Holiday Village near Withernsea, East Riding of Yorkshire, following a £4m investment in improvements to visitor facilities.
The development took seven months to complete and has provided the holiday village with a new indoor swimming pool with waterslide, as well as a sauna and steamroom.
A new restaurant, contemporary show lounge and soft play area are also included in the new complex, which has been funded by park owner Bridge Leisure.
The group has spent a total of more than £5m over the last two years in upgrading the Sand Le Mere Holiday Village's offer, which has also included new accommodation.
Bridge Leisure chief executive Andrew Howe said: "We have made a major investment to introduce state of the art facilities at Sand Le Mere."
