New York's One World Trade Center previews observation deck attraction
New York's One World Trade Center has offered a sneak preview of the panoramic views of the city visitors will see when its observation deck opens in 2015.
The skyscraper in Lower Manhattan will be the tallest in the Western Hemisphere when it reaches its final height of 1,776ft.
The Hettema Group, in partnership with Legends, have been selected to design and produce the observation deck experience, which will occupy floors 100-102.
The attraction will include a welcome centre, interactive viewing stations, multimedia presentations, guest interpreters, and dining, retail and event spaces.
"Skypod" elevators will give visitors a virtual experience of being outside the building as they make their 60-second ascent.
A pre-show theatre called 'See Forever' will inform visitors about the history and story of the building.
New York governor Andrew M. Cuomo said: "One World Observatory will be a magnificent facility, a championship-calibre attraction that will make Lower Manhattan a premiere destination for New Yorkers and visitors from around the world."
