White Hart Lane Community Sports Centre in Haringey, London, has opened its new £200,000 Active Strength gym.

The 189sq m (2,034sq ft) gym is equipped with TechnoGym’s Pure Strength range of resistance machines and a range of cardio kit supplied by Escape Fitness, Pullham Sport and TechnoGym.

The gym will also boast weight-lifting platforms for amateur, semi-professional and professional training.

Building work was carried out by Apollo, and took nine weeks to complete.

Dhiren Basu, member for leisure at Haringey Council, which owns the centre, said: “This is a fantastic new gym, which we have developed following public consultation with local people, current users and partners.”
