New leisure centre for County Wexford town
Work will start next month on a new leisure centre in County Wexford, Ireland - nearly two years after the project was halted when the original contractor ran into financial difficulties.
New Ross Town Council and new contractor Mythen Construction have now exchanged the contracts for the scheme, which has been designed by Dublin-based Holohan Architects.
The new two-storey leisure centre at Bosheen Road, New Ross, will include a six-lane, 25m swimming pool; a learner pool; and a separate children's pool.
A health suite with steamroom, sauna and relaxation area will be located on the first floor of the complex, while a fitness gym and a group exercise studio will occupy the second.
It is the latest leisure scheme designed by Holohan Architects, which has previously worked on the Aura Letterkenny Leisure Complex and Courtown Leisure Park.
