New spa for Saint Barthélemy hotel
A new beachfront spa is to be created at the independently owned Le Sereno hotel on the Caribbean island of Saint Barthélemy as part of a wider US$10m (£6.4m, EUR7.7m) investment plan.
The Spa at Le Sereno is being developed in partnership with product house La Ligne St Barth and is set to incorporate a mixture of indoor and outdoor spaces. Two individual spa suites; a couple's suite; and a waterfront treatment pavilion are among the proposed facilities, with each suite to be secluded with its own shower.
Ligne St Barth will supply products using ingredients found on the island, while the spa is also set to include an outdoor waterfront pavilion overlooking the Grand Cul-le-Sac beach. Adjacent to the spa will be a small boutique offering products from Le Sereno's partners, such as UK designer Anya Hindmarch and Parisian designer Christian Liaigre.
Le Sereno, which boasts 37 suites and three 7,000sq ft (650sq m) villas, has also benefited from improvements to its restaurant, lounge and rooms. The hotel also incorporates a gym equipped by Technogym.
