Next Generation looks to expand in 2004
Next Generation health and fitness clubs is to open three new clubs in 2004.
While one location has yet to be confirmed, the others will be Cambridge; Hatfield, Hertfordshire and Romford, Essex.
Scott Lloyd, managing director, told Health Club Management that he is confident for the future: 'The last 18 months have been difficult,' he said, 'but we have been doing well. It is likely that the next year or two will be difficult too, which makes it the right time to consolidate our business and dine-tune it. If we get things right, when things pick up we will be in a position to be well received.'
David Lloyd, Scott's father and chair of Next Generation, is responsible for overseas development and is looking to take the Next Generation brand to Sydney and Melbourne in Australia.
