Nick Nairn to launch hotel restaurant
Scottish celebrity chef Nick Nairn will open a restaurant at the recently refurbished Doubletree by Hilton Dunblane Hydro hotel in Dunblane, Scotland.
Called the Kailyard by Nick Nairn, the 220-cover restaurant will be the chef's first new property since the closure of the eponymous Nairn's in Glasgow in 2003.
Opening on 28 January, Kailyard by Nick Nairn will showcase Scottish cuisine, including Borders lamb, Shetland Sole, Highland beef and Scrabster-landed cod as well as Nairn's personal favourites such as salmon smoked to his own recipe and 'Nick's famous fish pie'.
Dean Rigby, hotel manager, said: "The official launch of The Kailyard by Nick Nairn is a landmark moment for Doubletree by Hilton Dunblane Hydro and we are delighted to be working with Nick.
"Hilton has a long and rich tradition of Food and Beverage and this is a great opportunity to enhance the experience for our guests. Nick's passion, experience and vision made him the perfect partner for the hotel."
The hotel recently completed a £12m redevelopment of its facilities.
