Those on the waiting list for a table at London's exclusive Nobu restaurant can now access a table at 35,000 feet. The brainchild of sushi-chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa and the actor Robert de Niro, the Nobu brand has joined forces with British Airways on its first class and Club World services between Heathrow and Tokyo to serve passengers meals from the Japanese menu. With sites in Milan, New York, Tokyo and at London's Metropolitan Hotel, Nobu has become so successful that the London site recently launched a room with benches for non-reservations on weekend evenings. The £4,500 cost, however, of a table at 35,000ft might make waiting for a table in London more appetising.
