Norwich City chair reveals stadium plans
Norwich City Football Club chair Alan Bowkett has revealed plans to increase the capacity of the Carrow Road stadium to 27,000 ahead of the 2010-11 season.
The venue's current capacity is nearly 26,000, with all new seats set to be installed in areas allocated to home supporters. It comes after the club was promoted to the Coca-Cola Championship. Meanwhile, Shrewsbury Town Football Club (STFC) has announced that its home ground is to be named the Greenhous Meadow, after a public vote was held by car dealership and sponsor Greenhous.
The name is designed to reflect STFC's former Gay Meadow ground, which closed in 2007 after the club relocated to the 9,875-capacity venue on Otley Road.
