Nude rambler sightings
Nude ramblers have been warned to spare the public’s blushes after five sightings were reported to police in the Yorkshire Dales, reports the Daily Telegraph.
The practice – known as "boots-only hiking" – has become increasingly appealing to some in the hot weather, but is proving a turn-off for many.
One man with an all over suntan is believed to have been involved in the incidents on the Pennine Way. He wears only a floppy hat, hiking boots and socks, while carrying a rucksack with a white flag on top.
Acting chief inspector Tadeusz Nowakowski, of North Yorkshire Police said: "All I can say is that it is hot weather and they should be careful. This is Yorkshire and locals have a habit of taking their own action. People have dogs, slurry and all sorts of things.
"We sometimes put our police dogs up there for training purposes and I would not like to stumble across a police dog in his condition."
