Ohio distillery expects 40,000 visitors in debut year
A new Bourbon distillery, which has recently opened in Newport, Ohio, is expecting to bring around 40,000 visitors a year to the visitor attraction side of its business.
New Riff Distillery, located near to downtown Cincinnati and which opened on 12 May, is the creation of Ken Lewis – former president of the wine and Spirits Guild of America.
Included at the distillery is a private dining room, multiple guest lounges, a bar, kitchen and a gift shop. Also included in the design of the building is a 60-foot (18m) copper column encased in glass at the front of the building, as well as a rooftop garden offering views of Cincinnati.
The facility offers free daily tours to give a first-hand look at the production process, taking visitors from the grain to the barrel with a complimentary tasting of a variety of spirits post-tour.
The Distillery has joined the Kentucky Distillers’ Association (KDA) and as such, has become a part of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail Craft Tour, featuring nine other tour distilleries and expected to significantly boost visitor numbers to the attraction.
