Osram to light up World Cup opening 2014
Lighting expert Osram is equipping the Arena Corinthians in São Paulo, Brazil, host of the 2014 Football World Championships opening match, with energy-efficient lighting technology.
The highlight will be the external façade, which will be transformed into the world’s biggest LED stadium panel and will serve as an extra-large screen.
The Munich-based light manufacturer provided light solutions at the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa and the UEFA European Championships 2012 in Poland and Ukraine.
