Out-of-court settlement for spa slipper at Gleneagles Hotel

The five-star Gleneagles Hotel Auchterarder in Perthshire, Scotland, has settled a compensation claim by a woman who broke her wrist after slipping and falling on a wet floor in the spa area.

The woman claimed that she would not have fallen had she received the complimentary slippers which had been available on previous visits.

She sued for £10,000 but accepted an undisclosed, out-of-court settlement from the hotel, which was given on the basis of no admission of liability from the hotel or spa.
