Parks and open spaces questionnaire launched
GreenSpace, the parks charity, has launched a campaign to “gather a snapshot of public satisfaction with parks and public spaces to promote their importance to local and national government”.
The Million Voices campaign aims to encourage one million UK residents to express their opinion of local parks by filling out a web-based questionnaire.
GreenSpace chief executive Paul Bramhill said: “Whether people love their local parks and open spaces or feel disappointed every time they visit, we want to hear from them. This is the first time that everyone in Britain has the opportunity to say what they think and know that their views will be heard.
“If a million people log on and have their say, we will, for the first time, have a proper measure of the quality of parks from the visitor’s perspective.”
The scheme is being supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). Details: www.millionvoices.org.uk
