Premier Travel joins quality assessment scheme
Budget hotel chain Premier Travel Inn has joined the quality assessment scheme operated by VisitBritain, VisitScotland and Visit Wales.
Tom Wright, chief executive of VisitBritain, said: “We are delighted to welcome Britain’s largest hotel group to the new assessment scheme for budget accommodation. By offering competitively priced accommodation through Premier Travel Inn, we can directly counter perceptions that Britain is expensive.”
Gerard Tempest, marketing director of Premier, added: “Today’s visitors are ever-more discerning with greater expectations from the places they stay. We offer a unique Good Night Guarantee, which means we guarantee a clean, comfortable room and friendly and efficient service. If we don’t live up to that promise, we’ll refund your money.”
Hilton Hotels and Radisson Edwardian also recently joined the national quality assessment scheme, which was set up in 2005 in response to the growing budget hotel sector in Britain.
Almost 45 per cent of known accommodation in England has now joined the scheme, which the tourist boards aim to increase to 80 per cent by 2010. Details: www.qualityintourism.com
