Pulse onside with youth zone contract
Pulse is to supply charitable organisation, OnSide North West with a range of equipment and supporting services to several of its youth facilities across the region.
The Bolton based charity was established in 2008 to bring together the public and private sectors to create 21st century facilities for young people. The facilities are designed to offer an environment in which young people can interact and engage in a range of activities from fitness to arts, as well as receiving health and welbeing advice and enterprise opportunities.
The Pulse contract, worth more than £250,000, involves four OnSide North West projects - in Carlisle, Manchester, Oldham and Blackburn. A range of cardiovascular, resistance and interactive fitness equipment will be installed over the coming months, with OnSide hoping the digital platform of Pulse's cv range - which includes features such as Freeview television, iPod and iPhone connectivity - will have a wider appeal to young people to drive active participation.
Pulse Fitness is the dedicated equipment arm of leading global leisure solutions provider The Pulse Group. Over the last 39 years, The Pulse Group has provided support to more than 30,000 leisure facilities in 30 countries across six continents. Pulse currently provides fitness solutions to over 100 UK clubs and operates 15 fitness, leisure and soccer centres.
