REPs conventions attract top speakers
The first regional Register of Exercise Professionals' (REPs) conventions in November have secured some top-line speakers.
In Glasgow, the Physical Activity and Health Alliance – a joint collaboration by NHS Health Scotland and the Scottish Executive – will talk about the implementation of the Scottish Physical Activity Strategy.
In Manchester, the chair of the NW Health Forum will outline the joined-up thinking and action in implementing physical activity programmes across the region. Also in Manchester will be Ian Kendall, president of the new professional institute ISPAL, who will talk about their plans for the future.
Elaine McNish from the Chief Medical Officer for Wales will give details of the ambitious programmes for improving levels of physical activity and for exercise referrals in Wales.
Three other keynote speakers will complete a packed programme for each convention together with REPs approved providers who will be running a whole series of workshops.
