As a retail supplier operating in front of house areas, technology advancements within our industry are being felt more than ever. The traditional 'reception' is being challenged for a cashless, 'concierge' model whereby the automation of tasks will create operational efficiencies ultimately redeploying or reducing labour hours.

Over the past 12 months, we have implemented our new Automatic Stock Management (ASM) with long standing customers Serco Leisure to address these changes and challenges. The results speak for themselves - increased sales by 25 per cent and profit by 20 per cent in the first year - changing the way goods for resale (GFR) operates across their 40+ swimming facilities.

Kate McKnight, head of Aquatics at Serco, says: "We have seen a 25 per cent increase in sales of swimwear and learn-to-swim products at our leisure centres with this new system in place. Our front of house employees are freed up from manual tasks such as counting and ordering, so we are concentrating on training and upskilling them to improve the customer experience."

Mcknight adds: "SRS Leisure has acted as an extension to our business, investing in technology and driving the implementation, resulting in better performance for both of our organisations. I have trusted them to deliver this for us and hope to see continued growth over the next 12 months."
