Science centre launches Fife Science Festival programme
Dundee Science Centre, in partnership with Fife Council, will launch the programme for Fife Science Festival 2011 on 1 February.
Following the Dundee Science Festival 2010, which reached an audience of around 8,000 people, the science centre is managing a second festival, which will offer events across Fife.
The science centre has brought together a range of partners including visitor attractions, colleges, and the University of St Andrews to offer family days, talks and shows for a week of activities from 11 to 20 March 2011, running alongside National Science and Engineering Week.
Director of science, learning and public engagement, Hannah Crookes, said: "Lots of people from Fife already visit Dundee Science Centre Sensation throughout the year, and the festival will now bring the excitement of the science centre out into the Fife community for a special festival week."
