Severn Valley consultation set to launch
Shropshire Council has revealed that local residents and visitors will be given the opportunity to have their say on future plans for Severn Valley Country Park.
The council, which manages the country park, is looking at ways to generate additional income and will hold consultations during May and June to gather the views of park users. George Candler, assistant director for culture and leisure at the council, said: "We want to make sure that the very high standards at this flagship park are maintained so that local people and visitors alike continue to enjoy this wonderful site."
Shropshire Council parks and countryside sites team manager Carolyn Healy added: "The consultation will allow park users to put forward ideas for funding the park and how these might be implemented, and we will work closely with the parish councils of Alveley and Highley on this."
