Sharp relief for hayfever sufferers
Sharp, the electronics company, has introduced the FU-800S plasmacluster air purifier, aimed at ensuring fresh and odour free health clubs and leisure centres.
The new system features the company’s Plasmacluster Ion™ technology, which acts to restore a high level of equally balanced negative and positive ions into the atmosphere and so keep the air clean. Unclean air – such as that found in cities – tends to have lower numbers of both kinds of ion or possibly an imbalance between the two.
The FU-800S can monitor the air quality in a room up to a maximum of 61sq m in size and also has a filtration system for capturing and removing pollen from the atmosphere, great news for hayfever sufferers.
The Sharp plasmacluster range includes a choice of models, with the FU-40SEK operating up to a room size of 31sq m and the FU-60SEK capable of handling an area up to 46sq m.
Maintenance on the machines is limited to occasionally changing the filter.
