Soho Clubs & Bars has appointed Joachim Ritter as its new chief executive officer.

Ritter has been at the London-based company – which owns properties such as Candy Bar and Cheers – since November 2005, when he joined as an advisor to the board.

“Soho Clubs & Bars has a fantastic portfolio of exclusive brands and top class London venues,” said Ritter. “The company has tremendous growth opportunities and I look forward to expanding the business further by maximising the potential of its brands.”

Ritter, who has 15 years experience in the London bars, clubs and facilities industry, has already promoted Lee Wells to managing director and Ronnie Smith to finance director.
