Specialists appointed to assist London 2012 bid
London’s bid to host the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games has been strengthened with the appointment of a team of Olympic specialists, called MI Associates, who were involved in the successful Sydney Olympic Games.
The appointment is primarily intended to aid the preperation of London’s candidate file to the International Olympic Committee, which is due to be submitted in November.
MI Associates was formed by Australian, Jim Sloman, the company’s CEO and formerly the chief operating officer of the Sydney Games.
It comprises technical specialists with experience of not just the Sydney bid but also the Manchester 2002 and Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games, the 2007 Pan-American Games and the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Details: www.london2012.org
