Spice Inns looks to expand after first site opening
The Spice Inns restaurant group has opened its first restaurant, called The Hillside, situated in Bengeo, Hertfordshire.
With a ground floor bar capacity of 30 people and a restaurant capacity of 24 people, owners Barry Hilton and Michael Meaney wanted to create the kind of restaurant that they’d want to visit, ‘where luxury is understated and comfort is paramount’.
The Spice Inns group aims to gradually open new sites across the home counties area during 2004. The core values of a Spice Inns site will be individuality coupled with good service and excellent food.
The next site opening for the group will be The Cricketers Arms, a restaurant/bar with eight rooms, which will be situated adjacent to the cricket pitch in Rickling Green, Essex. Details: www.thehillside.co.uk
