The £15m sports and entertainment venue Middleton Arena has gained a new Life Fitness gym as part of its state-of-the-art facilities.

The Life Fitness gym contains a wide range of equipment to suit different user needs. This ranges from Elevation Series Engage CV through to Circuit Series Strength, Hammer Strength MTS equipment and IFI Stage 2 accredited products.

Such a variety of equipment, combined with a layout using the Life Fitness Journey TM exercise experience system, delivers a gym that truly engages the whole community.

The flagship Middleton Arena is operated by the Rochdale Boroughwide Cultural Trust, Link4Life, on behalf of Rochdale Borough Council.

Life Fitness worked closely in partnership with Link4Life to ensure the gym would meet the exact needs of potential members and delivers an experience that ensures exercise progression and customer retention.

The local community came out in force to support the launch of the arena, which has already acquired 3,500 new members.

Sir Steve Redgrave CBE who, together with a host of sporting heroes, attended the launch, said: "The new Middleton Arena is fantastic and there's a real buzz here. I really like the way the arena incorporates sport, arts and entertainment in one place."
