THFC demands Olympic Stadium 'answers'
Tottenham Hotspur Football Club (THFC) has called on Olympic legacy chiefs to provide "certain information" relating to procurement process for London's Olympic Stadium.
The Olympic Park Legacy Company (OPLC) selected West Ham United Football Club as its preferred bidder for the venue; a decision since ratified by the government. However, THFC said it had a number concern at how February's decision was reached and has written to the OPLC, London mayor Boris Johnson and the government.
A separate letter has also been submitted to Newham Council - part of the successful West Ham United bid - in a bid to receive answers THFC believes it is entitled to. THFC denied that it had commenced judicial review proceedings with regards to the award of the Olympic Stadium, while the OPLC has confirmed that it had received a letter.
An OPLC spokesperson said: "We are confident that if these judicial review proceedings are pursued, our approach will be entirely vindicated by the courts." A THFC spokesperson said: "Tottenham Hotspur will determine its next step as and when it receives a response to these letters."
