Tanita body composition monitor BC-545N
By Kate Corney
Tanita has created the BC-545N segmental body composition monitor to provide information for shaping diet and fitness programmes.
The BC-545N uses Bio-electrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) to analyse body composition, calculating body fat, muscle mass, hydration level, metabolic rate, visceral fat and bone mass.
Each body segment - arms, legs and abdominal area – is analysed in depth, allowing users to track changes to body fat and muscle mass in targeted areas as their training programme progresses.
The segmental readings are also designed to help with injury recovery by tracking muscle build and balance during rehabilitation process.
