Teaching fitness to adults
The Keep Fit Association is opening two of its courses to non-KFA members – including one specially designed to help meet the fitness demands of an increasingly older population.
Both courses – Teaching Fitness through Movement and Dance to Older Adults – and Teaching Fitness through Movement and Dance to Adults - run over six weekends and are open to non-KFA members The course is open to non-KFA Members who hold a recognised qualification in teaching or instructing at NVQ Level 2 in an area related to physical activity.
The teaching older adults course will be preceded by 12 guided learning hours (one weekend) for students without previous experience of Laban’s Analysis of Movement.
Course Dates for the Teaching to Older Adults start on 3 November and run through to April 2008. It will be held at Farnham Common, Buckinghamshire.
The Teaching Adults course opens on 8 January and ends in November 2008. It will be held at Wokingham, in Berkshire.
