There’s never been so much fun in a jail
It would have been unheard of back in the 1800s when prisoners in Stirling’s Old Town Jail had very little to look forward to whilst they were locked up behind those enormous gates – but in August this year the loudest sounds at the city’s scariest attraction won’t be screams of despair, but fun and laughter!
Stirling Old Town Jail’s Victorian Extravaganza will be a feast of colour and activity for everyone to enjoy, with lucky dips, living statues, stilt walkers, juggling workshops, live music, and loads of special games! Visitors can even join in the hunt for an escaped prisoner – work out where he might be hiding, and win a prize!
It’s all happening at Stirling Old Town Jail from Friday 10 August until Sunday 12 August 2007. All the usual Old Town Jail events are happening as well, including live prison tours featuring all of the Jail’s famous characters.
